iRacing Arcade Speeds Onto Steam March 3

iRacing is taking a detour from hardcore sim racing with the launch of iRacing Arcade, an all-new arcade-style racer arriving on Steam March 3. Priced at $24.99, the title is designed as an accessible entry point for players of all ages, blending approachable gameplay with touches of the realism that longtime fans expect.

Developed by iRacing Studios in partnership with Original Fire Games, iRacing Arcade shifts gears from the subscription-based sim experience that defines the main iRacing platform. Instead, it offers a standalone, one-time purchase built around fast, fun racing with a lighter tone and stylized presentation.

At the center of the experience is a full career mode that sees players climb from entry-level road racing up through elite machinery, including the GTP class from the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. While the visuals lean into a more adorable, arcade-inspired art style, elements like fuel burn and tire wear remain intact, giving the game a subtle sim edge beneath its colorful exterior.

Races take place on condensed, “pocket-sized” versions of globally recognized circuits. Confirmed tracks include Imola, Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, and Miami International Autodrome, alongside iRacing Studios debuts such as Bahrain International Circuit and Kyalami Circuit. The smaller layouts are meant to keep races quick and energetic, reinforcing the game’s pick-up-and-play design philosophy.

Beyond the track, players can build and customize their own motorsports campus. Garages, R&D facilities, and engineering shops unlock performance boosts and strategic advantages, while team management systems allow players to run multiple series simultaneously with hired drivers helping shoulder the workload. Additional single-player and multiplayer modes round out the package.

For those curious but not ready to commit, a free demo is already available on Steam. Featuring the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup at Tsukuba Circuit, the demo has surpassed 100,000 downloads and remains live ahead of launch.

While iRacing proper remains the gold standard for competitive online sim racing, iRacing Arcade looks positioned to introduce a broader audience to the thrill of motorsport. Console versions for PlayStation and Xbox are scheduled to follow in summer 2026.
