Jersey Jack Pinball and SEGA have announced Sonic the Hedgehog Pinball, a new arcade machine that captures Sonic’s speed, classic level design, and long history with pinball-style gameplay. Players team up with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and friends, racing through iconic stages, collecting rings, and taking on Dr. Eggman across a full campaign of modes.
The table uses Jersey Jack’s platform with a 27 inch HD LCD display, RGB lighting, and a full Sonic Generations themed presentation that pulls visuals and music from across the series. Tracks like “Green Hill” and “Escape from the City” drive the action, while players advance through seven classic zones including Green Hill Zone and Chemical Plant. A built in high score camera snaps photos of players and highlights Grand Champions on the display, pushing the competitive arcade vibe.
Design work is led by Steve Ritchie, one of pinball’s most famous names and a guy arcade kids will also remember as the voice of Shao Kahn in Mortal Kombat II. Jersey Jack is pitching Sonic Pinball as a modern, fast shooting table that still feels like classic pinball, with heavy emphasis on lighting, mechanical toys, and animated spectacle packed into the playfield.
Sonic the Hedgehog Pinball is available now through Jersey Jack distributors and the company’s website in three configurations: Collector’s Edition, Special Edition, and Arcade Edition. All three share core features like the 27 inch display, immersive RGB lighting, micro LED gold ring displays, Wi Fi, Bluetooth audio, and the player camera.
The Collector’s Edition sits at the top at $15,000 and comes with Super Sparkle cabinet art, Knuckles red metallic laser cut armor, a Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman mechanical topper with a wide LCD, a gold ring shooter knob, and a numbered plaque. The Special Edition, priced at $12,000, includes Green Hill Zone battle artwork, Sonic blue armor, a dual layer RGB acrylic topper, shaker motor with haptics, and non reflective Invisiglass. The Arcade Edition lands at $9,999 and is tuned for high traffic locations, built to keep players feeding it credits rather than displaying in a private collection.
Jersey Jack positions Sonic as the latest in a line of licensed tables that already includes Guns N’ Roses, The Godfather, Elton John, Avatar, and Harry Potter, which tells you exactly which crowd this machine is targeting. This is a nostalgia loaded, premium pinball machine for arcades, collectors, and anyone who grew up rolling Sonic into bumpers and thinking “this should be a real table someday”.
