Take A peek at the glamor and chaos of Promise Mascot Agency in a brand-new deep dive and try to work out what the hell is going on.
Open World Mascot Management Crime Drama’s don’t come around very often, but the team at Kaizen Game Works are aiming to top the genre with the upcoming release of Promise Mascot Agency. Inspired by Japan’s love of anthropomorphic vending machines, themed robots, and weird wrestling animals comes a new game that caught our attention during an April reveal. Now, the developers tell us exactly what it is. The UK based indie studio just dropped a new video narrated by a voice that existing fans might find themselves recognising. It unravels the backstory of our hero Michi, the process of hiring mascots, the dangers of work and the mystery of a deadly curse. Filled with the sights and sounds of a small town mascot agency, and the familiars that might make the books, this ten minute introduction is a relatively orderly introduction to one of the most outlandish ideas I’ve heard in an age.
The mix of open world exploration, crime drama, visual novel, Pokémon, and Yakuza seems a little les surprising when it comes from the makers of Paradise Killer. Now, we all hopefully understand their vision.
“We’re so happy with the response to our announcement and we’ve been itching to show you more. Promise Mascot Agency is a unique game and there is so much to see and do. This video shows you just the tip of the iceberg. There are many more mascots to meet, people to help and FORBIDDEN MYSTERIES to uncover. This game rocks ass.” – Oli Clarke Smith, Game Director
Promise Mascot Agency comes to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Windows in 2025. Until then, pick your inner mascot over on the official website.
