Publisher Acclaim along with developers from Authentic Remixes and Fat Raccoon have announced Kidbash: Super Legend. The presentation happened during BITSummit, where the team presented a cinematic trailer. The game promises to become a nostalgic roguelike action-platformer. The release set on early 2027 for both PC (Steam) and consoles.
Kidbash: Super Legend invites players to take a role of a hero with no memories of his past. Set in the world of forgotten game characters, the project blends fast-paced action and exploration with roguelike progression. The visuals feature claymation-style aesthetic reminiscent of the PS3/Dreamcast era. The aesthetics of the world is inspired by “Laika-esque” stop-motion animation.
Key Game Features
- Protagonist: Players control Kidbash, a hero with no memories. After failing to save a village, he seeks training from a legendary master who has disappeared.
- Weapon Mixing: Players fill a meter by defeating enemies, then combine two weapons to create a more powerful weapon. Each combination has unique mechanics.
- Mod System: A randomized selection of mods enhances platforming and combat. Mods stack when weapons are combined.
- Village Building: Players help forgotten characters rebuild a destroyed village. Meta progression and character development are linked to the village’s growth.
- Inspirations: Drawn from classic titles including Mega Man and Kirby
