Indie Thai studio WereBuff announced their debut project — Kumarn: The Wandering Spirit. With Gamescom just around the corner, they unveiled a brand-new trailer and revealed that a playable demo will debut at the event.
Kumarn: The Wandering Spirit is a horror adventure, inspired by Little Nightmares franchise and Thai folklore. The dreads of the mythology come to life, as the players take the role of a Kuman, a wandering spirit exiled from his home. With the loyal zebra at his side, Kuman wanders through forgotten temples, haunted villages, and forsaken graveyards, seeking the place where he truly belongs.
Just like in Little Nightmares, players must hide from monsters and solve environmental puzzles to progress. The narrative is promised to be a wordless one, where the story is told through the atmosphere and the environment.
