Sci-fi shooter La Quimera is out and exploring the ravaged megalopolis of Nuevo Carcas in Early Access.
Ukrainian developer Reburn has unleashed its sci-fi shooter into Steam Early Access. The brand-new adventure in a dystopian far future cityscape is available via Steam for $29.99 USD/€29,99 EUR/£24.99 GBP.. Players picking up the title will find themselves fighting for the future in an original IP, crafted by Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, The Neon Demon) and E.J.A. Warren and packed full of disturbing new possibilities.
This new adventure comes to screens with an impressive pedigree behind it. Built by one of the studios behind the critically acclaimed Metro game series, it launches players into a futuristic Latin American megalopolis overrun by technological collapse. In among the silicon dilapidation, corporate mismanagement, shady characters, and dangerous entities all move in the background, with their own view of what’s best for the city.
New residents in Nuevo Caracas will find themselves in the boots of a down-on-their-luck PMC group caught up in a vast conflict between rival factions and shadowy corporations. Navigating the shadowy streets and the jungle outskirts, you’ll utilize powerful exosuits. Thunder through enemy NPCs and wield high tech weaponry to cut through any problems. Lean on the rest of your fire team, coordinate your efforts in co-op with up to two fellow players (total three player co-op support). All this waits, interwoven with a world where mystical happenings are beginning to blur the line between myth and reality.
Hunt down the truth, survive the crushing weight of Nuevo Carcas, and help shape the future of La Quimera over on Steam now.
