Riot Games’ MOBA League of Legends is back with a new dev video dedicated to the upcoming changes coming to the game based on recent player feedback. Join Andrei “Meddler” van Roon and Paul “Pabro” Bellezza as they talk through how the Hextech Chests return, what updates are coming to Honor, reductions in Blue Essence champion prices, Exalted skin quality, changes to the Battle Passes, Clash, and more.
The developers acknowledge that some players are frustrated or even questioning if Riot is the company they have always known. When the developers’ decisions don’t land as intended, it can damage players’ trust. After the recent changes that didn’t hit the mark for everyone, the developers have been listening to players’ feedback to target some areas for adjustment.
The video above is dedicated to what’s changing, why these updates are being made, and the work that’s being done to ensure the League is a game that feels rewarding and worth your time. For example, the returning Hextech Chests will be the exact same ones players received previously through Champ Mastery. Full details about these changes can be found in the accompanying blog.
“Now, as we wrap up, we want to acknowledge that we know getting League to the right place isn’t about just one set of changes. It’s about continually refining and improving the game. We think today’s updates are an important step, and we’ll keep tracking how these changes feel, talking with all of you about how things are landing, and making adjustments. We’ve always built League along with all you, the community. Thank you for sticking with us and hearing us out, and we look forward to continuing to work with you to make sure League is the best game it can be. Thanks so much, and we’ll see you on the Rift.”
