inZOI Early Access is live, opening the doors to the hyper-real life sim form Krafton.
You might want to put that new Sims add-on pack down, inZOI has opened up Early Access testing, and this high-end life sim is worth a second glance. The new adventure that’s all your own comes out of Krafton and empowers players to live the life they choose, wielding Zoi avatars in a detailed sandbox that might blow you away a little.
Players leaping into this pre-launch version of the title can pick it up on Steam for around £34.99 or local equivalent and they’ll get plenty for that price. Players will step into the role of creators, shaping the world as they envision and witnessing the various stories that unfold. The Zoi’s they make will have their own lives and free will. They’ll roam an expansive city environment, inspired by real-world locations, and participate in a huge variety of activities. It all sounds pretty SIM-ilar to other games in the genre, but inZOI has garnered a ton of attention for many of its features. Most obviously, this time sink looks stunning. The intricate character creator, building, and simulation studio tools make this title look incredible. The in-game engine spawns a high def inhabitants and a glorious-looking sandbox for you to play in. Characters aren’t just detailed, they’re highly customizable, and the world is just as malleable. Take control of the wider environment. Shape it into the perfect backdrop for your own stories by modifying factors such as weather, properties, and streets. All of this comes to life with stunning, realistic graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5.
Generation systems bring an extra element of creativity to the world. Try text prompts to generate custom patterns and images to customize outfits, props, and furniture. Add 2D scans to create in-game objects, and use facial capture to bring your characters to life. It’s all a little wild.
From an initial reveal back at G-Star 2023, and a more recent roadmap for Early Access. After garnering a ton of interest across the last couple of years at conventions and online streams, the Early Access phase was confirmed. Like any pre-launch title, there’s plenty of time to leap in later, but players who pick up the game before it goes live will get a number of confirmed updates, DLCS, and expansions in this sim.
