Lord Winklebottom Investigates Brings A Giraffe Detective to Consoles 2020

the world’s foremost giraffe detective is about to bring his unique crimefighting capabilities to consoles. Lord Winklebottom Investigates is coming to Xbox One and Playstation 4 in 2020.

Lord Winklebottom and his most steadfast companion Dr. Frumple are already due to take PC, Mac, Linux, and Nintendo Switch sleuths on an adventure. Now Charlotte Sutherland, solo Developer at Cave Monsters, has confirmed that this neck-tacular detective will come to both team green and blue’s consoles.

Going Wild

Coming out of a successful Kickstarter back at the beginning of April 2019, Lord Winklebottom’s brand new adventure is due to set sail to a mysterious island where a grizzly murder begins the case. Thankfully there is nobody better to crack the case than the legendary Lord Winklebottom and solve the murder of the axolotl Admiral Gilfrey.

“Lord Winklebottom is homage to detective stories, particularly those set in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, such as Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie and the Paul Temple mysteries.” said creator Charlotte Sutherland, “I’m really excited to bring the strange world of Lord Winklebottom and its bizarre cast of anthropomorphic animals to life, and can’t wait for people to get the chance to play it”.

Set in the 20’s this point and click adventure challenges players to take control of the detective, uncovering clues, interrogating suspects and solving puzzles to get to the bottom of things. The anthropomorphic animals, chatty characters, and quirky animation make this one stand out from the herd. Also, this giraffe is wearing a monocle! While I’m still busy finishing our Hamsterdam review and re-rolling for a Purrfect Date, I think I can stick my neck out and add a giraffe detective to the menagerie. You can check out more about Lord Winklebottom Investigates over on the official webpage or on the Steam Store.
