Amazon Luna is heading into May with another sizable content refresh, giving subscribers a new batch of games to stream across PC, Fire TV, tablets, mobile devices, and supported smart TVs. This month’s lineup continues Amazon’s push to make Luna a low-friction gaming platform where players can jump between genres without worrying about installs, patches, or storage space. The May additions include a mix of indie releases, retro-inspired experiences, multiplayer games, and several titles aimed squarely at casual pick-up-and-play sessions.
Amazon continues to offer up some big hits with Luna Standard, which is included with your Prime membership. With these new additions, the 50+ strong library is a trove of gaming this month.
- Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Eidos-Montréal’s take on the Guardians skips the live-service nonsense and focuses on what actually matters: sharp writing, chaotic team dynamics, and a surprisingly heartfelt story. Players control Star-Lord while directing the rest of the crew in combat, creating battles that feel somewhere between a superhero brawl and an intergalactic argument. It is funny, messy, and far better than many expected when it launched.
- Resident Evil 2: Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 2 is one of the strongest modern survival horror games around. The Raccoon City Police Department becomes a claustrophobic maze packed with puzzles, limited ammo, and one extremely persistent Tyrant stomping through the halls. It modernizes the 1998 classic without losing the tension that made the original legendary.
- Ailen Isolation: Alien: Isolation understands something many horror games forget: the unknown is terrifying. Instead of turning the Xenomorph into a shooting gallery target, the game forces players to survive against a relentless creature that adapts to behavior and hunts unpredictably. The retro-futuristic atmosphere nails the look and feel of Ridley Scott’s original film almost perfectly.
- Middle Earth: Shadow of War: Shadow of War expands on the Nemesis System introduced in Shadow of Mordor, creating rival Orc captains who remember battles, hold grudges, and occasionally return from the dead just to ruin your afternoon. Large-scale fortress sieges and army-building mechanics give the game a bigger scope, while the brutal combat still channels that satisfying Batman-Arkham-meets-Lord-of-the-Rings energy.
Along with the streaming library, the May update grants Prime members 11 new titles to download and keep, even if you cancel Prime. Each unlock grants a key for a digital copy of the game on a variety of platforms, including GOG, Amazon Games, and Epic Games Store.
