Mad Catz Make A CES 2022 Appearance With A Bunch Of New Peripherals - S.T.R.I.K.E. 6 keyboard

Mad Catz revealed a range of upcoming peripherals as part of their CES 2022 announcements last night and, like always, there’s nothing understated about this product launch.

While we’re still amid a largely online CES 2022, Mad Catz made an appearance that looked to turn heads during its own press conference last night. The peripheral manufacturer with a style all its own dropped a range of upcoming keyboards, controllers, and gaming chairs that certainly caught our attention.

S.T.R.I.K.E. 6

First in the new array of desktop accessories from Mad Catz was the S.T.R.I.K.E. 6, a new twist on current keyboard choices from Mad Catz. This mechanical offering combines the space saving layout of a teeny tiny 60% form factor with the usual level of precision and customization expected from a gaming device. The mechanical keys under the hood of the S.T.R.I.K.E. 6 are hot swa[pabke and good for 80 million strokes, while Mad Catz has included RGB illumination and 26 separate effects to match the rest of your rig.

P.I.L.O.T. 5 and P.I.L.O.T. 3

P.I.L.O.T. 5 headset

Something we’ve not seen from mad Catz for some time is new headsets. Now, the P.I.L.O.T. 5 and P.I.L.O.T. 3 are set to fill that gap. These updated gaming headsets are going to give gamers a range of options when going into battle. Designed with comfort in mind, they both feature large oval shaped earpads, plenty of memory foam padding over the headband, and a lightweight frame for minimal stress around the ears. 50mm drivers are built into each earcup, giving plenty of power, while the P.I.L.O.T. 5 adds virtual 7.1 surround sound to really immerse you in your new world.

G.Y.R.A. Gaming Chair

In a rather unexpected addition to the Mad Catz range, CES 2022 also introduced the G.Y.R.A. Gaming Chair. There isn’t a ton of specifics, price points, or detail to the new product but this Mad Catz branded chair will come in a red and black uniform, with the option of an additional pillow, ergonomic styling, and comes stuffed with high-density cold-molded foam. Mor information when we have it.

C.A.T. 9 Controller

While the G.Y.R.A comes in the usual Mad Catz livery, the C.A.T. 9 Controller is a transparent beast. This mobile controller comes configured to assist across Android, PC, Nintendo Switch, but also Apple iPhone, and iPad and features Bluetooth connectivity. While we don’t know what Bluetooth version that entails, this mobile device also bundles in a 6-axis motion sensor, dual vibration effect, turbo mode, RGB lighting, and on-device programmable macro buttons.

T.E. 3

Finally, Mad Catz introduce the T.E. 3: the latest model in their Tournament Edition arcade stick series. This serves as an iteration on the existing range, with Sanwa Denshi buttons, plenty of configurable options, and an arcade authentic experience all core to this design.

While we don’t have full specifications for all the announcements, you’ll be able to keep an eye on what’s coming up here at Gamespace and at the official Mad Catz website.
