The comic book hero shooter from Netease just unveiled a new location and introduced the marvel Rivals Tokyo 2099 map.
Yet another world has emerged from the Timestremam Entanglement. Thankfully, you just have to take a look above to get a look at what’s waiting for the mightiest heroes in the multiverse. Marvel Rivals has unveiled the latest teaser trailer and a new map for this upcoming hero brawler. Based loosely on the concept of Tokyo 2099, this new battleground is a mix of old and new that w blends neon lights with traditional themes, and the odd explosion.
The second map, coming after the announcement of World Tree, the new color and contrast of this far future Shin-Shibuya district doesn’t play host to gigantic monsters or huge mecha. Instead, the future of 2099 hosts the mega corporation Alchemax. This isn’t the only possible problem to make this city its home and any tear in the fabric of reality means another outing for heroes like Loki. The latest design mixes familiar Japanese design ideas with cyberpunk lighting, mechanical flying carp and design inspiration that seems to draw on the likes of Spiderman 2099 and Peni Parker’s SP//dr mech.
Players can check it, and all the recent reveals over on the official YouTube channel. Marvel Rivals might seem like a later entry into the hero shooter market for an array of comic book icons, but the upcoming adventure has some substantial hype. The team-based PVP shooter is expected to be a free to play battler that will pit Marvel’s best against each other with an array of iconic powers.
