The Arkavir arrive to deliver hard truths about the future in the newest teaser trailer for Exodus.
There are more horrors in the universe than just the Mara Yama, and we’re not talking about the latest race to appear on the Exodus website. The upcoming sci fi RPG from Archetype Entertainment dropped a new lore teaser for this upcoming space faring epic, and it features a burly race of beingsthat couldn’t be more different from yesterday’s space bears. While looking ferocious, the lore entry describes an indentured workforce, created by the celestials to be incredibly powerful but without any real future.
The disregard shown nby the mighty Celestial races for their workforce is as horrific as the threat of the eldritch Mara Yama, shown recently. These beings are sent to hellish dead planets as miners, then simply forgotten about. It’s a tale that’s once again narrated by Matthew McConaughey’s C.C Orlev and further fleshes out the vast and mysterious galaxy players will eventually explore.
This is far from the first lore teaser. The team behind this incoming sci-fi adventure are busily building a huge universe full of odd and enchanting new ideas to stretch the imagination. How they’ll play out on screen when we see them, I’ve yet to find out. However, I’m pretty hopeful that Exodus will take the ideas that made the like of Mass Effect so appealing and twist it out into a whole new scale.
Set in a universe where humanity flees from a dying Earth, it puts down roots in a new corner of the galaxy. Landing long after the first ships arrive, Humans find a potential home already claimed by earlier explorers, who have long evolved and become powerful Celestials. Facing powerful dynasties, harsh lives, and oppression among this vibrant corner of the universe, humanity must thrive however it can. Eager explorers can take on the role of a Traveler and set out to distant stars, where the consequences of your actions will play out in real time as you face the time dilation of space travel and unimaginable danger. Think Interstellar crossed with Mass Effect, and a wildly inventive set of societies to explore.
