Microprose has announced Drop and Urban Strife are coming to Steam Next Fest. It’s time to limber up your hacking fingers.
DROP
Microprose, the team behind Arms Trade Tycoon, Carrier Commander, and more has announced two upcoming titles that it’s bringing to Steam Next Fest. Technical pros can load up a very different sort of adventure and try out DROP. This upcoming brain teaser is an intense and fast-paced hacking roguelite with intricate layers of puzzles and complexities that tests you at every turn.
Dispatching big-budget hack and slash fests for something a little more intricate and 2D, DROP is a procedurally generated mix of cyberpunk narrative and simple commands, all wrapped up in a twisted online world. Set in a reality where the world has recoiled and fractured into countless digital enclaves and virtual fortresses. You’ll take jobs, pick through the power struggle, and endeavor to use stealth, cunning, and ingenuity to work around obstacles and become a top-tier hacker.
Urban Strife
While DROP finds a dystopian world online, Urban Sttrife isn’t afraid to get its hands dirty. Yet another turn-based tactical RPG, this twist on the genre finds players cast out on the mean city streets, simply trying to survive the end of all things. Putting survival at the forefront of this post-apocalyptic experience, developer White Pond Games pushes survivors to head out into the world and try to rebuild. Seemingly playing like State of Survival, Urban Strife mixes classic scavenge and survive base building, a huge world full of NPCs, and a classic action points combat system to create a deep and, hopefully, engaging experience.
So whether you like your dystopian survival digital or a bit more hands-on, you can head over to the Steam Next Fest now and grab hands on with DROP and Urban Strife.
