Devolver Digital and the developers from Artificer have announced a release date for the upcoming rogue-lite game Minos. For this occasion they released a brand-new trailer, demonstration the core gameplay and the main idea of the game. The confrontation of the Minotaur and foolish adventurers starts on April 9. Meanwhile, the players can try out the Demo version of the game available on Steam.
Minos is a labyrinth building strategy, featuring rogue-like elements. The players take a role of the Minotaur, who’s peaceful life is disturbed by the greedy adventurers and self-proclaimed heroes. To restore the peace, the players should design new traps and re-design the corridors, sending the foes to their Gods.
Key Game Features
- Maze Building: Players drag walls, gates, and corridors to shape the labyrinth. Rotating passages and shifting gates allow for confusion and separation of intruders.
- Trap Sequences: Spikes, boulders, blades, and fire traps can be linked into chain reactions. Pressure plates trigger cascading effects, creating complex traps that deceive adventurers.
- Narrative: The story explores the Minotaur’s origins and the figure behind it. Players uncover Daedalus’s motivations and face Theseus, with outcomes determined by player choices.
