Coming from developer Jotoyo, Monster Fantasy an action RPG with cozy life sim and taming elements. Not only do you get to hunt giant monsters, but you also can befriend villagers, enjoy fishing, cooking, gathering, crafting and building a beautiful home.
The game’s Kickstarter campaign will be arriving on July 15, but the Steam page is already available and filled with basic details.
The developers bring up Monser Hunter, Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and even Pokémon as the classics and inspiration behind Monster Fantasy. The team aims to create a world where every system feels meaningful — not just placed side by side, making the game feel like a second life in a fantasy world with swords, magic and giant monsters. A place where you can battle alongside companions, and live at your own pace.
Your character is an amnesiac hero that arrives in the Kingdom of Eldoras. It is up to you whether you want to follow the classic path of an adventurer and hunt monsters to earn your keep. You can tame defeated monsters as pets and help them grow and evolve, and even ride or fly them across valleys, rainforests, icy plains, volcanoes, and more.
If that life doesn’t appeal to you, you can instead dedicate your days to fishing, chopping wood, mining, cooking, crafting your own equipment, and enjoying a variety of life-sim activities.
