The developers from Shiny Shoe and publisher Big Fan Games have presented the first major update for the roguelike deck builder Monster Train 2. Coming under the title Destiny of the Railforged, the update brings bug fixes, new bosses, and balance improvement. Moreover, it adds support for the new DLC and includes a free content for all players.
Destiny of the Railforged DLC Summary
DLC – Destiny of the Railforged (Paid)
- New Clan – Railforged: Lead a new clan of mechanical stewards and machines created by Herzal and Heph, featuring a unique Forge mechanic to upgrade units.
- New Mode – Soul Savior: A new gameplay mode with four sequential runs in the Soulstream, culminating in a final boss fight.
- New Boss and Enemies: Face The Lifemother and her “Children” in a revenge storyline. The order of battles is a strategic choice.
Free Update for All Players
- Return of the Wurmkin Clan: The Wurmkin clan returns fully rebalanced for Monster Train 2. The update includes new card art and design changes.
- Progress Note: The Wurmkin clan must be unlocked by advancing in the game’s main storyline.
General Improvements & Fixes
- Balance and Reworks: Numerous balance changes, card text updates, and clan-specific tweaks (Luna Coven, Hellhorned, Umbra, etc.).
- Bug Fixes: Resolved various softlocks, combat preview issues, and UI/audio bugs.
- Logbook and UI: Added tracking for new content, updated visuals, and fixed interface issues
