MONTECH is closing out the year with a pair of CPU coolers that seem determined to make high-end air cooling a lot cheaper. The newly released NX600 and NX600 ARGB take the company’s dual-tower designs and bundle them with its E28 performance fans, aiming to challenge premium coolers while keeping prices low enough that you may briefly wonder if someone misprinted a decimal. Both models are available now and start under $35, which puts them in stocking-stuffer territory this holiday season.
Despite the price, MONTECH is treating the NX600 Dual-Tower series like serious kit. Each cooler uses a dual-tower layout with a 52-fin stack on each side, providing ample surface area for heat dissipation. The company says the spacing has been tuned to maintain steady airflow even under heavier workloads. That should appeal to anyone pushing a modern CPU, especially as chips continue their upward march in both heat and ambition.
The look is more refined than MONTECH’s usual minimalist approach. The top cover mixes striped and translucent accents, giving the cooler enough personality to stand out in a windowed case without drifting into full-RGB spectacle. For builders who prefer that spectacle, the NX600 ARGB swaps the standard E28 PWM fans for a pair of E28 ARGB models, adding a bit of color without altering performance. The non-RGB version keeps things clean and quiet while still delivering the same airflow numbers.
Underneath the visual flair, the cooler relies on six copper heatpipes and a precision-soldered copper base. Combined with the dual-tower design and the included fans, the NX600 series is positioned to handle high-TDP processors without flinching. Compatibility also seems straightforward. Intel’s LGA115X, 1200, 1700, and the upcoming 1851 are supported, along with AMD’s AM4 and AM5. If you are upgrading an older system or building something new, odds are good the NX600 will fit without any surprises.
Pricing might be the biggest headline here. The standard NX600 Dual-Tower Cooler starts at $29.90, while the NX600 ARGB tops out at $34.90. That’s a far cry from the $100+ price tag on a flashy AIO cooler – it’s been shown that a good air cooler can handle all but the highest TDP CPUs. MONTECH is clearly trying to undercut the market while keeping features that matter. If the real-world thermals match the spec sheet, this could be one of the stronger value plays of the season.
