Cold Symmetry and publisher Playstack have presented the new gameplay showcase for the ARPG Mortal Shell II. The official gameplay reveal demonstrates three playable Shells: Tiel, The Acolyte; Eredrim, The Venerable; and Proxima, The Broodseeker. Each character navigates the interconnected open world of Mortal Shell II differently. The game prepares to launch on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series later this year.
Mortal Shell II is a standalone sequel of the acclaimed ARPG. As before, the game offers the players to assume control of the Shells, living and walking weapon with unique abilities. The next chapter expands the gameplay experience, offering more dynamic and unrestricted adrenaline-charged combat, deeper weapon design with extensive upgrade options, and an emphasis on free exploration. The story follows the Harbinger—a being prophesied to retrieve the stolen Ova of the blessed Undermether from the fearsome creatures that ruthlessly guard her unborn offspring.
