The My Time series has come a long way from tinkering around a workshop in Portia. Pathea and PM Studios have released a new trailer for My Time at Evershine, showing off the biggest and most ambitious entry yet, including a major change to the series formula. This time, you’re not just rebuilding a town. You’re in charge of it.
Set three years after the events of My Time at Sandrock, My Time at Evershine is a 3D open-world simulation RPG set in a hopeful post-apocalyptic world. Players take on the role of a Governor tasked with transforming a struggling frontier settlement into a thriving city-state. That change in perspective gives Evershine a considerably larger playground. Rather than simply establishing your own workshop and helping a community recover, players will shape the settlement itself, with the decisions they make helping determine the future of the community.
The new trailer also offers a look at the upgraded visuals and expanded world, along with battles, seasonal events, mini-games, exploration, hidden secrets, friendships, and romance. In other words, Pathea hasn’t forgotten that the series works because there is more to do than simply stare at a construction menu while wondering where all your wood went.
One of the biggest additions is online multiplayer. For the first time in the series, players can experience the main story together, either playing solo or teaming up with up to three friends through online co-op. That could make the city’s construction side particularly interesting, allowing a group of players to work on the same frontier rather than simply comparing progress from separate saves.
The developers are positioning Evershine as a blend of the cozy elements that have defined My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock with a larger emphasis on adventure, exploration, progression, and community building.
My Time at Evershine is scheduled to launch in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
