nDreams Elevation Reveals Debut Title Reach Ready to Revolutionize VR

Reach, the debut title from British Studio nDreams Elevation, is set to land on VR Platforms.

Reach just revealed a debut trailer at the Future Games Show, and it has me checking my VR headset is charged. Featuring an introduction from games industry legend, Shuhei Yoshida, the trailer gives us a teaser of the adventure from the studio and is launching on all major current and forthcoming headsets later this year.

“I’m thrilled to help introduce Reach to the world,” said Shuhei Yoshida. “I’ve been a fan of nDreams’ work for many years, and after playing the game myself, I was blown away by the level of immersion, freedom, and creativity they’ve achieved. This debut title from the Elevation studio is a pioneering step forward for VR, and I can’t wait for players to experience it firsthand.”

Reach is the studio’s most ambitious title to date and is set to push the boundaries of action-adventure VR gameplay. It finds the players embody in control of a reluctant hero thrown into a reluctant hero as they head out to uncover the secrets of a underground civilization. The adventure touts true-to-life full-body awareness and presence, advanced physics and intuitive, and gesture-driven traversal. Freely jump, climb, and zip-line across breath-taking environments with smooth, intuitive traversal designed for VR. Challenging players to fight mystical threats and master versatile tools, they must cut a path through a vibrant world. Take a look at the trailer above, we’re sufficiently hyped for this one when it arrives on Meta Quest, PS VR2, and PC VR later this year.

Reach is already available to Wishlist via the Meta Store, PlayStation Store, and Steam VR. While we largely have the trailer to go on more information is coming. More information will be revealed in a deep dive at the VR developer Direct presentation on Tuesday, 10 June. All you have to do is leap in and watch.
