Necrophosis: Full Consciousness Comes to Consoles

Dragonis Games and publisher PQube has revealed a release date for the Necrophosis: Full Consciousnesson consoles. The Lovecraftian horror comes to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on May 28, 2026. To mark this achievement, the developers released a special devlog featuring Ares Dragonis, inviting players to learn more about game behind the scene.

Necrophosis: Full Consciousness is a first person adventure, that offers a deep dive into true horror. The game merges Lovecraftian mythology with the dark, surreal aesthetics of Zdzisław Beksiński. The players explore the surreal world of death, while having no weapon at their disposal. This isn’t a game about fighting for life or survival, but feeling and understanding the worlds and entities beyond human imagination.

 Key Game Features

  • No Weapons: Combat is absent. Gameplay focuses on exploration, puzzle-solving, and facing incomprehensible entities.
  • Horror: Game Combines Lovecraftian mythology with surreal, decaying visuals inspired by artist Zdzisław Beksiński.
  • Handcrafted World: Over 400 handcrafted assets built over three years.
  • Narrative Through Poetry: Players gather fragments of narrative poetry to piece together the world’s lore.
  • Puzzle-Focused Progression: Puzzles grow increasingly unsettling as players explore decaying environments.
  • DLC: Adds new surreal locations, forgotten spaces, and puzzles with integrated poetic narration.

Console Version of the game will include both base game and DLC expansion. Moreover, physical PS5 edition will come with a bonus game The Shore – a Lovecraftian horror-adventure about a father searching for his lost daughter.
