Nekome: Nazi Hunter Gets First Gameplay Trailer

ProbablyMonsters has revealed the first gameplay for its upcoming action title Nekome: Nazi Hunter, offering a brutal look at a revenge story set during World War II. The single-player, third-person game is directed by Jeronimo Barrera and is currently planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and Series S.

Inspired by grindhouse cinema, Nekome: Nazi Hunter follows Vano Nastasu, a young Romani man whose family is murdered by Nazi soldiers. The game chronicles his transformation from victim to relentless hunter as he pursues those responsible across war-torn Europe.

The newly released narrative trailer offers a first look at the game’s mix of stealth infiltration and brutal close-quarters combat. Missions revolve around scouting enemy compounds, studying patrol routes, and carefully planning attacks before engaging in direct combat. Once the fighting begins, players rely on improvised weapons, targeted strikes, and visceral finishing moves to eliminate enemies in personal and often violent encounters.

According to Barrera, the project represents one of the most personal stories of his career. The director said the game was designed around a focused narrative perspective, aiming to tell a World War II story through an intimate and character-driven lens.

Gameplay systems are built to reinforce that perspective. Nekome: Nazi Hunter features notoriety and fear mechanics that track how players approach combat. Enemies may react differently depending on Vano’s tactics, with some panicking, hesitating, or fleeing entirely based on how brutal or unpredictable the player’s actions are. Each encounter encourages players to carefully plan their approach while deciding just how far they are willing to go in pursuit of revenge.

The announcement also comes alongside news of another upcoming project from ProbablyMonsters, Crimson Moon. The Gothic High Renaissance-themed action RPG focuses on fast, melee-driven combat and features replayable missions as players fight through a demon-infested city. The game supports optional co-op and is also planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Meanwhile, two of the studio’s earlier releases are currently discounted for a limited time. Storm Lancers is available for $9.99 (50% off) on Steam, Nintendo eShop, and the Epic Games Store, while Ire: A Prologue is priced at $7.99 (60% off) on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Players interested in Nekome: Nazi Hunter can wishlist the game now on Steam and the Epic Games Store while the team continues development on what it describes as a deeply personal story of vengeance set against the backdrop of one of history’s darkest conflicts.
