Netflix just announced a massively cooperative life sim called Spirit Crossing that is set to land on your games tab later in 2025.
Forget the PvP, Netflix’s’ first MMO is a cozy life sim from the studio that brought us Triple Town, Alphabear and Cozy Grove. The heart-warming and massive adventure is a captivating tale of friendship and discovery where players can group together with friends and work on nurturing a village that will stand the test of time in an ever-changing landscape. It’s not just adorable, we expect it to line up alongside the rest of the Netflix gaming lineup as part of existing subscriptions.
There isn’t a great deal of information on Spirit Crossing. The cozy collaboration does have a trailer, thankfully, to give players an idea of what’s coming to screens. The cell shading and overall animation are reminiscent or AIR, a little like Genshin, and a plethora of cute indie games, while the world is populated with player characters, flying whales, floating alpacas, green outcrops, and cute little village homestead. There appears to be plenty of in game activities already from exploration, what might be mounts, music, fishing, construction, and more. That’s what we can gleam from the trailer, while Netflix official news seems to confirm most of this and noting that the alpaca looking animals are called fluffalobacks.
While we don’t much more detail on formats, release dates, firm pricing, anybody with an Android or iOS device can sign up for testing phases right now and hope that Netflix doesn’t pull the plug on things before they really get going. Check out more in the trailer, above or sign up for testing while we wait for more cozy games from Netflix.
