The first season introduced viewers to the world of Runeterra. The events of the show take place in the twin cities of Piltover and Zaun. Known across Runeterra as the “city of progress,” many of the most brilliant minds call these cities home. But the creation of hextech, a way for any person to control magical energy, threatens that balance. Unrest stirs as inventors and thieves, politicians and crime lords chafe against the constraints of a society torn asunder. Two sisters, Vi and Powder, find themselves in the middle of this conflict.
Arcane Season 2 continues after the explosive finale of its 9-episodes-long predecessor. And things are quite different now, both in the City of Progress, and for the characters that live in the twin cities.
