Netflix Teases the Return of Devil May Cry, Blue Eye Samurai, And New Projects

Netflix Anime Expo showed off some exciting projects to heat up your summer. Between Devil May Cry Season 2, Blue Eye Samurai Season 2, the return of Beastars, and newly revealed series and games, there’s no time to lose!

Whether you are into anime, Netflix animated shows, or games, there’s something for everyone. Are you into fast-paced action, bloody battles, spec ops, slice of life, or something else entirely? Netflix has your back with a number of new and returning releases.

The teaser might be only barely under 3 minutes, but it’s packed full of promise: 

  • Devil May Cry – Season 2 confirmed. When a mysterious villain threatens to open the gates of Hell, a devilishly handsome demon hunter could be the world’s best hope for salvation.
  • Blue Eye Samurai – Season 2 coming soon. Driven by a dream of revenge against those who made her an outcast in Edo-period Japan, a young warrior cuts a bloody path toward her destiny.
  • Sakamoto Days – Part 2 arrives July 14. Once the world’s most feared hitman, Taro Sakamoto falls in love with Store Clerk Aoi. Leaving his violent past, he retires to live a peaceful life. But old enemies threaten to pull him back into the life he thought he’d left for good.
  • Tougen Anki – coming this July. When Shiki’s father is killed, he discovers he has demon ancestry and enters a secret war going on between demons and heroes.
  • Leviathan – releases June 10. In 1914, on the eve of war, a fugitive prince and a girl in disguise meet aboard a bioengineered airship, the HMS Leviathan, and change the course of history.
  • Record of Ragnarok III – new season announced. Every 1000 years, the Gods’ Council assemble to decide the fate of humanity. What happens when the Gods decide that humans are irredeemable?
  • Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, a new animated series based on the video game series featuring Sam Fisher, a black ops agent working for the US government division The Fourth Echelon.
  • The Fragnant Flower Blooms with Dignity – 2025. An elite girls’ school resides next to a boys’ school for delinquents. One day, two students from each school, Kaoruko and Rintaro, meet and develop a connection.
  • My Melody & Kuromi – arrives July 24;
  • Dandadan – streaming now. When Momo and Okarun’s beliefs clash, they’re thrown into a world of ghosts, aliens and awakened powers.
