The developers from Geo Seed Games and publisher Luckycalf has announced the beginning of the playtest registration for the open world game Never Wither. The test itself will last for 3 days, running from May 29, 2026 (PT) to June 1, 2026 (PT). Every player willing to participate can apply via official Steam page. However, the amount of slots is limited, so hurry to grab your chance to play the game ahead of the full launch.
The playtest version of the game promises to give access to the 3–5 hours of the gameplay. The players can discover the first region – The Valley, and try out the core gameplay features. The game will offer to build the structures, tame creatures and even fight some powerful bosses. However, the multiplayer side of the game is still in development, and the playtests won’t provide a co-op experience.
Never Wither is a multiplayer online survival crafting ARPG featuring creature collection and transformation mechanics. Set in a colorful open world, the game offers players to take on the role of the last hope against the Corruption. They can transform into creatures, collect and raise them, and assign them to tasks such as farming, building, and crafting.
Key Game Features
- Exploration and Purification: The continent of Edda features diverse environments including river valleys, plateaus, ice fields, and volcanic wastes. Corrupted creatures inhabit these areas; players can purify them in service to the World Tree.
- Creature Collection and Transformation: Players can transform into these creatures, utilizing their unique combat skills and abilities.
- Companion Training and Combat: Players can combine creatures into teams to unlock their potential. Secret realms offer relics, spells, and facilities for players who complete challenges.
- Base Building and Settlement Management: Players should gather resources and build their own base to call home. Companions assist with gathering, transport, farming, and defense against threats.
