Thanks to a new publishing agreement between Koch Media and Starbreeze — yes, it has survived all of its financial woes — we now have a release window for Payday 3. The pair also announced that PD3 is completely funded so things are moving full speed ahead and devs are estimating a 2023 release date for PC and consoles.

According to the much longer post on the Starbreeze site, the franchise has scored over 28 million installs over the years and the dev team is excited to continue into the future.

In addition to securing the continued development, this deal secures global publishing of PD 3 as well as the marketing efforts through the entire game life cycle. We now have a strong foundation for a successful launch of PAYDAY 3”, said Tobias Sjögren, Acting CEO of Starbreeze.
