New Star Games just announced a new Hot Lap update for the retro themed New Star GP.
The team behind New Star Soccer, Retro Goal and Retro Bowl is putting the foot down and racing into a new update for the retro tinged racer, new Star GP. Getting into gear on PC today, with console coming soon, this free extra is the very first piece of post launch content for the racer. True to its name, this injects a new game mode to the action and asks players to score the fastest possible lap.
Hot Lap aims to put players firmly at the top of the rankings, giving drivers access to place the fastest time on one lap of any track in the game. You’ll need to outpace your opponents’ ghost-cars and claim your place on the leaderboards. To celebrate turning this corner, New Star GP has a 40% discount on Steam. You can grab it for far less than a ticket to see this Weekend’s Canadian GP.
In addition to the new mode, anybody starting their career will encounter tons of other content. This Virtua Racer inspired motorsports sim crams in 176 unique events to play. You can choose from time trials, checkpoint races, reverse races, rival races, elimination events, and traditional GP runs. Picking from an immense range of retro liveries and pixelated facial hair, competitors can start racing and speed through decades of content. Single player, career, 4 racer multiplayers, and a track creation mode mean that New Star GP hides tons of surprises and nuance under the hood.
