A gum popping battle fest crosses swords with Japanese mythology in Ninjala Season 16.
Players ready to do battle in GungHo Entertainment’s bubbly brawler have a new set of challenges and rewards to try out. The competitive battler based on ninja powered bubble gum brings traditional Japanese mythology to the area this season. Available to try out now, Season 16 of Ninjala includes a whole swathe of gum weapons, rewards, loot, and more. While this is very different from the normal anime crossovers, it’s still got plenty to play for.
Running up until 19 June the new round of brawls should see more than an influx of Shinobi style to the screen. Anybody taking on friends and rivals will find plenty of changes await. Several Gum Weapons have had adjustments, with the Punch type weapons Pow Wow Cannon and Oedo Cannon getting nerfs, and other weak weapons being buffed. the amount of life recovered by the ability Inside Loop was increased for Yo-yo type weapons, like Ninja Yo-yo, Shinobi Spinner, and ASAKUSA Wheel. The time it takes to activate the Time to Relax ability was reduced, making it easier to trigger Specials for weapons like Mellow à la Mode, Trick Ball, or Knockout Door.
Shinobi Cards
A new fifth Shinobi Card Expansion slot enters the fray for this season. These work like a character perk system, allowing players to equip abilities and create a personal fighting style. To help players expand their card slots, a Shinobi Card Slot Expansion Celebration Campaign kicks off between March 27 to April 10.
It’s not all about upgrades and balance tweaks. There’s loot to be had too. Between March 27 to April 10, players can take part in PvP modes like Quick Battle, Ninjala Battle, and Featured Battle to get tons of rewards. The Loot Battle Matsuri means guaranteed Assist Codes to power up Shinobi Cards or Research Points, just for going into battle.
