Toei Animation’s frightful adventure will haunt Next Fest during October 2024.
The latest taster session for all things indie kicks off on 14 October and that includes a frightening new entry from Toei Animation and Toydium. NOROI KAGO: the Grudged Domain drops a demo on Steam Next Fest in a few days, giving players a chance to experience this new tale for themselves.
Previously unfurled for attendees at the recent Tokyo Game Show, the grudged domain is a four-player co-op survival horror game cantered on the supernatural “Yokai” from Japanese folklore. Trapped in a dilapidated Japanese mansion, the terrifying Gyuki haunt the hallways, and a curse hangs in the air. You and your companions must work together to endure the curse. Get our alive, but only if you manage to evade the inhuman creatures that lurk among the shadows before you are overcome by the aforementioned curse. The upcoming demo will feature all this and a distinct art tyle that mixes light and shadow to just be really quite creepy. While J-horror fans or manga readers fans might recognise the influence of Shigeru Mizuki on this, it’s certainly far away from Toei’s normal realm of Dragon Ball themed heroics.
To check out NOROI KAGO: the Grudged Domain, just take a browse over on the official Steam Store page and try it out between 14 – 21 October.
