Nova Hearts is set to taking launch the dating turned magical girl battler sim on Nintendo, PlayStation 4/5, Steam, and Xbox X/S next month.
Back in 2024 we visited the sleepy town of Vermillion and learned that a group of teens are much more than they seem. Now Nova Hearts is set to launch across Nintendo, PlayStation 4/5, Steam, and Xbox X/S on 19 June 2025. Taking the dating sim and turning it on its head with a magical transformation, this adventure challenges you to TEXT, DATE, and FIGHT in this turn-based strategy dating sim!
Taking the role of heroine, Luce, players picking up Nova Hearts will follow Luce as she tries to escape her past. Unfortunately, what seems like a simple summer away in a small town turns out to be more than she bargained for. A mysterious cosmic force suddenly grants Luce magical powers and a sick transformation sequence to boot! Now you’ll need to fight against a mysterious threat to the town, while navigating the complexities of teenage emotions.
If you’ve got a long memory or just a thing for superheroes then you might remember the demo for Nova Hearts. Back in January 2024 we tried out this dating sim turned superhero battler and we’ve been waiting for a release ever since. The inaugural release from upstart studio Shoreline Games, and the second from Lightbulb Crew, which released Othercide, is a visual novel turned dating sim that turned our heads when we tried it. Now you can join the teens of a small town as they make their debut in Nova Hearts, across Nintendo, PlayStation 4/5, Steam, and Xbox X/S on 19 June 2025.

Before launch, the teams behind Nova Hearts will be partnering with select coffee shops, bars, and other LGTBQA+ friendly establishments across the U.S to provide branded items and a percentage of the proceeds to Rainbow Railroad.
