Mohawk Games and Hooded Horse have announced the launch of a new DLC for their strategy game, Old World. Empires of the Indus brings a new civilization to the game, expanding the world with new nations, tribes and religion. For this occasion, the developers released a brand new trailer, featuring Indus aesthetics and an authentic soundtrack.
Empires of the Indus DLC Overview
Three New Playable Nations
- Mauryas: A powerful empire with potential to establish Buddhism as a world religion through a unique project.
- Yuezhi: A tribal confederation that can evolve into the Kushan Empire.
- Tamilakam: Represents the three Sangam kingdoms of southern India.
New Tribe
- The Huns: A formidable steppe tribe with unique events centered on Attila the Hun.
Religions
- Hinduism and Buddhism. All three nations begin with Hinduism; the Mauryas can elevate Buddhism to a world religion.
Four New Wonders:
- Great Stupa at Sanchi: Unlocks Pillar Edicts improvement (legitimacy and civics bonus).
- Mahavihara: Provides science and civics bonuses.
- Monumental Buddhas: Improves opinion and culture for each religion present.
- Chittorgarh Hill Fort: Grants city health bonus and heals units within territory.
New Terrain
- Jungle: Functions like woods with increased ranged defense and movement penalties.
Additional Content
- Over 200 events, 60 ambitions, 11 cognomens, 4 rare resources (Jade, Silk, Spices, Ebony).
- Maps: Three new map scripts and five pre-made maps, ranging from the full subcontinent to smaller duel maps in the Indus Valley and Bactria.
