Olight Celebrates 19 Years Of Lighting Your Way With Upgrades And Discounts

WoW Midnight - Update 12.0.5 Goes Live April 21

Whether you’ll be out camping this summer or just trying to chase down the end of a cable under your desk, a good flashlight always comes in handy. Olight is using its 19th anniversary to do a bit more than roll out another flashlight. The company’s latest launch puts a focus on longevity and sustainability, two things that don’t always get top billing in the world of high-lumen bragging rights. Announced on April 16, the milestone release introduces the updated Baton Series alongside the ArkPro Ultra Onyx Black. Both products arrive during Earth Month, which is not exactly subtle timing, but the underlying message is clear. Olight wants you to throw away less stuff.

The Baton Series is built around a simple idea that feels oddly rare in modern gadgets: parts you can actually replace. The user-replaceable battery means the light doesn’t become e-waste the moment its capacity dips after a few years. There is also a redesigned, rotating USB-C port tucked away to reduce wear and tear, which is a common failure point in rechargeable gear. Add a dual-switch system for more precise brightness control, including a sub-1-lumen moonlight mode, and the Baton feels aimed at people who prefer function over flashlight one-upmanship.

The ArkPro Ultra Onyx Black takes a slightly different route by going all-in on consolidation. It packs four lighting tools into one device, including UV, green laser, spotlight, and floodlight modes. The idea is that one gadget can replace a handful of single-purpose tools, cutting down on both clutter and manufacturing waste. Its 2,000 mAh battery is rated to retain over 80 percent capacity after 300 charge cycles, which should keep it in rotation longer than most disposable-powered alternatives.

Olight is also making a push on materials. Both product lines use the company’s proprietary O-Aluminum construction, which it claims is nearly twice as strong as standard aluminum, and they now ship in plastic-free, paper-based packaging sourced from FSC-certified forests.

As for pricing, the Baton Series will be discounted by 10 percent during the anniversary window from April 20 through April 24. The Baton 4 Pro lands at $62.99, the Baton Ultra at $89.99, and the ArkPro Ultra Onyx Black at $129.99. It may not be the flashiest anniversary celebration, but in a category that often defaults to “brighter equals better,” Olight’s focus on durability and longevity feels like a quiet shift in priorities.
