Herobeat Studios studio, authors of Endling – Extinction is Forever, had announced their new project — Rewilders: The Lost Spring. This open world game promises to combine the roguelite experience with the metroidvania style progression and a touching, emotional story. Impactful narrative will bring to lite the themes of friendship, responsibility and restoration, while dynamic gameplay won’t let the players stay bored.
In Rewilders: The Lost Spring, players will explore diverse biomes, confront twisted creatures, and navigate a corrupted world. As they restore balance, the reawakened Hântu creatures join their cause – evolving alongside them to enhance your abilities. To build the perfect team the players should level up these mystical allies, customizing their strategy at each run. Moreover, the game promised to have a skyship base, where players can grow plants from seeds and resources gathered during exploration to unlock permanent buffs.
The developers describe Rewilders: The Lost Spring‘s features as
Hântu Companions – Collect unique creatures with active abilities, status effects, and passive bonuses.
Combat and Boss Encounters – Fight using Abi’s melee, ranged, and special attacks while combining them with Hântu abilities. Learn enemy patterns, adapt to their behaviors, and face multi-phase Tormented bosses whose defeat grants traversal tools and key upgrades.
Roguelite Structure – Each run changes starting points, enemies, and rewards. Persistent upgrades earned in your skyship let you grow stronger over time, encouraging experimentation with different builds and Hântu combinations.
Metroidvania Exploration – Unlock traversal tools like the glider, wall-run, and grappling hook to access new paths, hidden areas, biomes, and shortcuts, adding layers of progression to the interconnected world.
Skyship Base – Return to your customizable hub above the clouds to plant and cultivate rare flora for permanent buffs, feed your companions with their favorite food, and decorate your ship into a lush floating garden in a sea of clouds.
