Orcs Must Die Deathtrap Smashes Up PlayStation 5 on 29 July

The latest Orcs Must Die Deathtrap invades PlayStation Store on 29 July 2025, with physical releases a little later.

The Orcs are back to cause chaos on Sony’s premier PlayStation platform. The Deathtrap iteration of a massive tower defense turned fantasy first person brawl is coming to PlayStation 5 on 29 July. After stomping onto Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox Series X/S at the start of 2025, the new digital release will bring the most recent version of the game, fully refined and ready to rumble.

The fifth in the series of Orc bashing battles, the new game challenges players to navigate a fantasy land full of Orcish mayhem using the power of a War Mage. This time, the challenge pushes players to utilize a much deeper progression system, and touts endless replay ability. Still, the core gameplay loop of setting traps and grilling Orcs continues unabated. You and up to three other players can set your traps, upgrade their defense, and use their hero’s unique weapons and abilities to prevent orcs from entering the rift, a gateway and powerful source of magic.
