In one of the more unusual genre-bending titles to come across our desk in recent years, Mūn Mūn Games and UNIKAT Label have announced Out Fishing. What’s the mix, you ask? Players will not only be challenged to catch unusual fish, but they’ll also be confronted with a horror scenario out at, of all things, an “abandoned lake.” Can a lake be abandoned? Only players will ever know!
The premise is introduced in a new trailer. The narrator speaks of “coming here as a child,” and it appears that he’s speaking of an abandoned camp that was shuttered after “the drowning.” Let’s just say that fishing after dark is a really bad idea. The trailer starts off like a typical fishing game, but quickly descends into outright horror as the player starts fishing at night and bodies begin popping to the surface. Also, bloodied fish talk and look like something out of a, well, horror game. See for yourself.
