Outsmart Hungry Dinosaurs in Point-and-Click Adventure Theropods

Coming from developer Lost Token, Theropods is an upcoming wordless point-and-click adventure that will test your mettle in a prehistoric world with a surprising sci-fi twist. The game arrives for PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store) this July.

A glowing stone crashes from the sky into a young hunter’s village. Its arrival draws a bloodthirsty tribe, who attack the settlement and enslave her people. Barely escaping into the jungle, she discovers the stone’s true origin: a stranded spaceman whose damaged pod depends on it. Together, this unlikely pair must cross dinosaur-infested lands to free her tribe and find a way to send him home.

Theropods is a classic point-and-click adventure built around visual logic: no dialogue, no subtitles, no text walls. The world that surrounds you is the puzzle itself, and you will have to watch it closely and notice things like creatures behavior, NPC reactions, and more to experiment and find your way through.

Every scene will have a problem you will have to figure out: a sleeping predator, a guarded passage, a curious creature with an exploitable habit. Every object, animal and gesture might be the key.

“Theropods started as a tiny Flash game we made for a 2015 game jam. Players connected with it in a way we hadn’t expected and we knew we had to turn it into something bigger.” — said Kostas Skiftas and Sarah Duffield-Harding, co-founders of Lost Token. “After a successful Kickstarter and many years of working on it in our spare hours, the game is finally about to reach players. What carried us through wasn’t a single innovation, it was a quiet belief in the game’s voice.”
