Jingle Jam 2022 is set to kick off this week and the yearly combination of charity and festive gaming has penned in sometime to reveal more at 5:00pm GMT on 1 December.
In just a couple of days’ time a gargantuan crimbo tinged charity event returns. After raising more than £20m raised for charities over the last 11 years, the Yogs team are set to offer up a new digital sack utterly stuffed full of video games with the proceeds heading off to help charity.
A special collection of over 90 games is lined up for players to pickup in 2022. All you’ll have to do is give up over 35 of your royal British poundage (about 42 independence dollars) and wait for the keys to start rolling in. While we don’t know the full loadout of the Jingle Jam bundle yet, we do know that there’s bound to be something for everyone within the collection, from AAA blockbusters like the Total War Saga Troy and Age of Wonders: Planetfall through to celebrated indie darlings such as PlateUp!, You Suck At Parking and Bonfire Peaks.
If you want to find out more about the contents of this massive charity bundle then it’ll be worth watching the Yogscast channel when things kick off. If nothing else you’ll get to see streams hosted by members of the Yogscast and their friends and features some of the most popular creators on Twitch and YouTube including Lewis and Simon, Sips, The Spiffing Brit, RTGame and many more.
The Jingle Jam might ring some bells, because it’s about more than just getting cheap games. Ike other charity bundles, the upcoming two weeks of the aforementioned Jam is set to raise money for deserving causes, including Special Effect, Mermaids, The British red Cross, Movember, Kidscape, and far more. After last year’s massive £480,000 and an astounding 9.1m individual codes given out over the last 11 years, this event is something of a mainstay of the gaming calendar, and a welcome addition to my ever growing Steam mountain of shame.
