Grinding Gear Games announced the new major update coming to aRPG Path of Exile 2. Titled The Third Edict, version 0.3.0 arrives on August 29.
In 8 days, the story continues with Act 4. After finding Doryani in Act Three, you learn you must travel to a Karui archipelago called Ngamakanui to search for pieces of a great weapon, the instrument of the Third Edict. This weapon is the only hope against the Beast. Set sail and stop the calamity before it is too late.
Explore the Ngamakanui archipelago, home to the Karui tribes, that consists of eight diverse islands, each with its own dangers and of course, bosses! The developers note that Path of Exile 2 Act 4 is completely non-linear, and players can visit the islands in any order they choose.
But it won’t really be Path of Exile if you won’t have new bosses to fight! Act 4 introduces more than a dozen new bosses and over a hundred new monster types. Are you brave enough to challenge them? No matter where you choose to go, danger lurks a step away.
The update will also introduce changes to Act 3. No longer do you need to play through the game twice in order to get to the endgame. Instead, you can take advantage of the three new temporary Interludes acts, a set of side stories featuring 19 new areas and 12 new bosses that will take you to level 65, where the endgame begins.
But even that is not all! Act 4 also gives rise to the Abyssal League. Prepare to seal the Abyss and harness the Well of Souls. Delve into the Abyssal Depths, swarming with legions of the undead and guarding powerful rewards. Discover and challenge the ominous Ancient Spire, if you dare.
