Gaming culture has long since escaped the confines of the living room, and the latest example involves one of the more enjoyable ways to celebrate a video game anniversary: eating cream puffs. Beard Papa’s is teaming up with ATLUS for a U.S. collaboration celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Persona series, bringing themed desserts, collectibles, merchandise, and decorated stores to participating locations.
Running from September 4 through October 4, 2026, the collaboration covers Persona’s history from Revelations: Persona through Persona 5 Royal, with original artwork created for Beard Papa’s by ATLUS’ creative team.
The centerpiece is a limited-time menu featuring five cream puff flavors, each inspired by a different chapter of Persona history:
- Original Cream Puff, inspired by Revelations: Persona
- Matcha Cream Puff, inspired by Persona 2: Innocent Sin
- Ube S’mores Cream Puff, inspired by Persona 3 Reload
- Cookies & Cream Cream Puff, inspired by Persona 4 Golden
- Double Berry Cream Puff, inspired by Persona 5 Royal
There are also two collectible gift sets for fans who want something more permanent than a pastry that will be eaten on the trip home. The 4-Pack Gift Set includes four featured cream puffs, a Persona chibi sticker sheet, and an in-game code card for Persona5: The Phantom X. The 6-Pack Gift Set includes six cream puffs, a blind-packed acrylic standee featuring one of eight designs, and another Persona5: The Phantom X code card.
Beard Papa’s is also offering Persona merchandise including a ceramic mug, premium T-shirt, zip hoodie, and eco tote bag through its online store. Participating locations will receive Persona-themed menu boards, bakery case graphics, posters, television displays, and other decorations. The Cerritos and Little Tokyo locations will go a step further with large anniversary murals designed as photo opportunities.
It’s a fitting reminder that gaming fandom has become considerably bigger than games and hardware. Thirty years of Persona has produced music, characters, fashion, collectibles and plenty of other ways for fans to express their enthusiasm. Apparently, cream puffs are next.
