For gamers who still like having something on the shelf instead of watching a digital purchase disappear into a library menu, PM Studios has launched PANAX, a new gaming community and commerce platform built around physical games, collectibles, merchandise, and eventually, player collections. The idea behind PANAX is to treat gaming fandom and collectibles as something substantial that goes beyond just owning a disk.
The platform currently offers physical games, collector’s editions, merchandise, and exclusive items, while PM Studios says future features will allow users to manage and showcase their collections, connect with other fans, and preserve their gaming history across platforms and generations. That makes PANAX an interesting proposition in an industry that has spent the last couple of decades steadily moving away from physical media. For collectors, the actual game disc or cartridge is increasingly just one part of the appeal. Special packaging, art books, soundtracks, statues, and other physical extras have become their own category of gaming merchandise.
The PANAX Store already has several notable releases lined up. Dispatch is coming to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X later this year, including Deluxe and SteelBook editions. Coffee Talk Tokyo arrives physically on October 27 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, with its exclusive edition including a coffee scoop, coffee cozy, stencils, and soundtrack CD.
Collectors also have Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea, arriving October 15, with a Special Collector’s Edition limited to 500 units. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter launches September 17, with a premium Golden Wings Edition featuring a 1:400 scale Glorious x Arseille model diorama, SteelBook, artbook, soundtrack CD, and other extras. The lineup also includes physical editions of Wuthering Waves and Zenless Zone Zero, while Black Myth: Wukong merchandise ranges from clothing and plushies to jewelry and collectibles.
PANAX is available now through its website and the PANAX app, with additional platform and community features planned for the future. If PM Studios can make those collection and community tools as useful as its storefront, PANAX could become more than another place to buy limited editions. It could become a digital clubhouse for the people who still enjoy collecting the physical evidence of their gaming hobby.
