Developer Studio Spiders just posted a community update, giving us all a look ahead in a GreedFall 2 Early Access community post.
The new details behind this upcoming sequel come as part of a community post from the team behind the narrative RPG. GreedFall 2: The Dying World is a new adventure that takes place a whole three years before the first in this series. The post, which follows on from an earlier play test, delves into a range of topics. Information about the combat system, game mechanics, and Early Access format are all the top of the list. While he news isn’t the latest reveal or trailer, it includes some important changes to the GreedFall series.
This time around, players can take their place as a native of Teer Fradee, uprooted by force from your island and taken to the continent of Gacane. Relocated to the home of the invading colonists, freedom is a slim hope. Too reach it you’ll need to explore an old world ravaged by war and scarred by the Malichor plague. Navigate interactions with the locals and political schemes of opposing factions, all to take control of your destiny.
The original GreedFall played through the lens of the colonists. Exploring a vast untamed land with a mixture of moral ambiguous characters and swashbuckling combat, the ambitious endeavour was impressive enough to keep us interested in a sequel. While it might not end up being as loved as the Witcher franchise, Greedfall 2 is on our watchlist for the future.
