Rain World: The Watcher, the DLC expansion for the original Rain World, is preparing to drip onto consoles. On September 25, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox players will be able to slither through the Watcher’s murky, warped waters.
Journey beyond to something, somewhere only ever glimpsed. When the world beneath your feet cracks and crumbles, will you hold on to all you once knew? Or dive into the unknown? The wilds that await will be unlike all that’s come before.
Released on PC earlier this year, Rain World: The Watcher received mostly positive reviews from players, citing it being not only an amazing DLC, but an amazing experience on its own. The reviews also praise the story, the locations, and the lore. However, many suggest not to compare it with Downpour, which is a completely different type of journey.
In addition to the console port, Videocult is excited to release the Watcher 1.5 update. It brings multiple new regions to explore, new creatures, items, mechanics, new characters, new paths (and endings), plus a multitude of new pieces of art and music. In addition to the Watcher campaign, the base game will be getting some major improvements: 50+ new Arena maps, numerous gameplay tweaks, patches, and QoL updates.
