Sad Cat Studios prepared a narrative gameplay showcase for the upcoming 2D platformer Replaced. Created exclusively for IGN, the video features 15 minute of pure in game time, demonstrating the key aspects without any editing. The main focus belongs to exploration of the Phoenix-City, interactions with NPC and core gameplay. However, the battle scenes didn’t receive any screen time, as developers prefer to keep them in secret.
REPLACED is a 2.5D cinematic action platformer featuring a thriller like narrative. The story brings players to the retro-futuristic world, where artificial intelligence R.E.A.C.H. was locked in a human body. In case to uncover the truth behind its crating, the A.I. decides to expose Corporation’s hidden agenda. For this purpose it has to go through the dirty streets of the megapolis and fight its way to the Corporation’s strongholds.
