Developers from Glowmade have revealed an action roguelite dungeon crawler Rogue Fortune. The announcement came along with the brand-new trailer, featuring the main innovation to the genre. The game introduces a unique inventory management system, where players have to preserve the fortune or spend it on survival.
Rogue Fortune takes players deep into the dungeon, where they have to survive. However, the game doesn’t follow the generic dungeon crawler formula. The developers flipped the generic script: players begin the game having already claimed a lifetime of riches.
The challenge lies in escaping a labyrinthine temple that demands blood for every coin it relinquishes. Players can gamble their treasure for healing, unlock new paths, and acquire uniquely shaped Relics infused with mythic powers that enhance survival.
Key Game Features
- Creative Synergies: Relic combinations forge new strategies and break the rules of traditional roguelite progression.
- Playable Characters: A wide cast of characters, each with unique traits and drawbacks, then customize gear to alter the shape and size of the inventory.
- Risk and Reward: Gold is both a resource and a liability. It spills from the pack over time and with every hit taken, forcing constant risk assessment and tough decisions.
- Evolving Challenges: The temple grows wise to players escape, and no two paths are ever the same. Its sprawling underworld of chambers, combatants, and choices force players to rethink their strategy with every attempt.
- Risk and Reward: Every setback brings the temple closer to reclaiming its treasures.
Rogue Fortune prepares to launch on PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S in 2027, with a Steam playtest scheduled for Q4 2026.
