Venn Studios has announced a dark fantasy roguelike deck builder, Rogue Reigns. For this occasion, the developers prepared a first gameplay trailer, demonstrating key game features. The team’s debut title brings a new approach to the genre by adding a party-based combat system. The game features hand-drawn characters and procedurally generated 3D environments powered by Venn Studios’ proprietary Wildcard engine.
Rogue Reigns invites players to the adventure through a dark fantasy world. Unlike traditional deck builders, where players control a single character, the game puts a party of three heroes at the center. Each character has their own deck, abilities, and turn order, increasing the strategic challenge. After each encounter, rewards are limited, and only one hero gets stronger while the others do not. Over time, these decisions accumulate, leading to power imbalances, and the weakest can die first.
