Developer Owlcat Games is back with a new blog post dedicated to the additions of the upcoming DLC Lex Imperialis: new second-tier archetype Overseer as well as the new Arbites origin for your Rogue Trader.
“As the situation across the Koronus Expanse continues to escalate, the von Valancius dynasty is in dire need of new tactical advantages. The new second-tier archetype the Overseer as well as the new Arbites origin introduced in the Lex Imperialis expansion offer the perfect solution to this problem.”
The team describes the Overseers as flexible support specialists who deploy familiars — cybernetic creatures that can assist their masters in various ways. During combat, these cybernetic creatures amplify their master’s offensive abilities, disrupt enemy maneuvers, and deliver additional damage. Except for rare cases, familiars can’t be controlled directly, but they can be issued commands during the Overseer’s turn. Each familiar has its own stats and can be attacked as well as fall unconscious.
But that is not all: Lex Imperialis DLC also introduces the Arbites origin option. Rogue Traders who hail from the ranks of these hardened veterans know first-hand why the brutal laws of the Imperium must be upheld, with rich experience in dealing with traitors, renegades, and rebels of all kinds. This origin has multiple specialties, including: Subductor, Vigilant, Castigator.

What do we know about Lex Imperialis
The second premium DLC following Void Shadows, Lex Imperialis will launch very soon, with the official release window stating Spring 2025. It will offer roughly 15 hours of extra gameplay, seamlessly integrated into the main narrative.
During the events of Lex Imperialis, Lord Captain will join forces with a new companion, Solomorne Anthar — a member of the Adeptus Arbites. As the past of House von Valancius begins to present itself in a new light, the Rogue Trader faces difficult decisions that may affect the future of the entire Koronus Expanse.
Players will also be able to learn more about the collection of the Imperial Tithe, otherwise known as the Grand Harvesting.
