Rokid brought its vision of an AI-powered wearable future to the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, with the global exhibition debut of its YodaOS platform and a new AR spatial computing device. The company showcased the technology at WAIC 2026 from July 17 to 20, where it demonstrated how its smart glasses are moving beyond simply displaying information.
Rokid’s YodaOS is designed as a native AI operating system for smart glasses, built around the idea that wearable devices should be constantly available, quick to interact with, and capable of delivering more than a wall of text floating in front of your face. YodaOS uses a four-layer architecture covering rapid interaction, environmental perception, AI intelligence, and real-world scenario implementation. Rokid claims the system can respond to its two-character wake word in as little as 0.2 seconds, while a dual-chip, dual-system design distributes workloads between the device, edge computing, and the cloud.
The platform also introduces AIUI, which replaces conventional text-based AI responses with graphical and immersive interactions. Rokid AI Assistant 2.0 adds proactive features such as automatic itinerary recording and scheduled reminders, suggesting a future where smart glasses can do more than wait for users to ask questions.
The more intriguing piece of hardware may be Rokid’s next-generation AR spatial computing device, which will made its global exhibition debut at the show. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon premium spatial computing platform, it features a third-generation Oryon CPU, Adreno GPU, Hexagon NPU, spatial and AI cameras, 6DoF tracking, a 58-degree field of view, and a five-microphone array. The device also supports on-device large language models and Unreal Engine 5, with 4D Gaussian spatial reconstruction technology intended to blend digital content with the physical world. Rokid says potential applications include AR gaming, cultural tourism, industrial assistance, and education.
For gamers, the Unreal Engine 5 support and 6DoF tracking are the most interesting details here. Rokid is clearly positioning this hardware as something more ambitious than another pair of smart glasses with an AI chatbot bolted on. Whether that translates into compelling gaming experiences remains to be seen, but the company’s push toward spatial computing could be worth watching.
