Grey State Studio has presented a brand-new trailer for the upcoming FVP shooter Rules of Engagement: The Grey State. The video features core gameplay and teamwork, demonstrating the atmosphere of the game along the way. The developers offered a glimpse at the location design and showed off several monsters.
However, this is not all. The developers presented the first Dev Blog for Rules of Engagement: The Grey State. It introduces a new three-player co-op PvE mode set on Boreas Isle. The mode is set in the same Horrorverse as the game’s squad-based PvP mode. Boreas Isle is an island in Northern Europe, full of creatures from the Grey State that arrived with the Haze. The Grey State Agency (GSA) sends Strider squads to eliminate the threat and prevent the infestation from spreading further.
Surviving Boreas
- Weapons and Equipment: Guns are available, along with flamethrowers for horde control and recoilless rifles for heavily armored enemies. Players choose Special Equipment before deployment, coordinating loadouts with the squad.
- Tactical Support: High-explosive shells and incendiary rockets can clear paths or create fire zones.
- Enemy Behavior: Creatures hunt in packs and use flanking tactics. Squad coordination and situational awareness are essential.
- Procedural Elements: Terrain, objectives, and hostile activity vary between deployments. Routes may not exist on subsequent runs.
- The Grey State: An unknown world that resembles reality but follows different rules. Doors sometimes appear on Boreas, leading to the Grey State. Players must enter, recover resources, and exit.
Rules of Engagement: The Grey State prepares to launch later this year on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, WeGame).
